We walk our separate paths.. ON ACCIDENT!

October 1, 2010
Got up and got ready for work and then told Erin good-bye because, in my mind, she was working at 8:30. Went to the post office to drop off a letter to the boy and, arriving at the front door of the CDC, guess who I ran into? Yes, ERIN! I had said good-bye to her at the house, thinking she worked at 8:30 when, in fact, she worked at 8 like me, so we basically walked separately to work. The people at the front desk were convinced we were mad at each other, but it was really just a mix-up. So funny though.

Had a really fun morning with Yana because we only had one kid until eight and then only three kids until 9. When we were in the mini-gym, I decided to try and army crawl my way through the tunnel mats the kids had and Yana took some hilarious pictures of me going through the tunnel. She even got some pretty cute ones of the kids trying to "pull" me out. We then played pretty much full contact basketball while the kids watched because we were so bored. ha ha

Then i went and gave Ashley her break and Yana's daughter, Camilla, fell down. In the middle of cleaning up, I just picked up Camilla to comfort her and continued cleaning up. Of course though, Jan had to see something wrong with what I was doing and came in and told me that we aren't allowed to pick up the kids. Umm.. Everyone else does. Not sure why I can't. I explained that she had fallen and, when she saw Camilla's face, she realized I was comforting her. So freaking retarded. I really can't stand all of these ridiculous rules that they seem to make up on the most random of times.

Of course, on my lunch break, I went and checked my mail (still no package from my mom - I am now convinced it is lost) and wrote Darrick an e-mail.

Had the slowest afternoon in existence this afternoon. But, after it was finally over, I got to talk to Darrick for several hours and had such a great conversation.

Came home, ate oatmeal from dinner and got a text, which reminded me that we needed to check in with our PC in Ramstein, Germany (yeah, checking in with her will totally do a lot of good!). We tried to send a text to the new number she gave us, but the number did not work. Deciding we should be responsible, Erin and I turned around and walked all the way back for internet and got one of the rudest e-mails about how we didn't check in. While we were down there, the head of CA, Jen, called and basically started yelling at me, telling me I didn't check in again. In the same tone she used, I was like, "Ummm. We've been trying to check in all night. We just got back and walked all the way down here for internet." She softened up a little after that, but it's seriously ridiculous how much I get yelled at over here. I'm about ready to lash out irrationally at someone and I feel bad for whoever that person is going to be.

Came home and we watched an episode of How I Met Your Mother and, tired beyond belief, Erin, like only a true friend would do, pulled me off the bed, so that I would wash my face and brush my teeth. Hate her, but love her to pieces. ha ha Okay. Sweet dreams all.

Things I learned today:
1. Just when I think there are no more ridiculous rules to be had, one gets made up.
