Lazy days need love too...

September 25, 2010

Today was mine and Erin's day to sleep in, but I woke up at 4 and could not go back to sleep. So frustrating. Instead of tossing and turning and getting annoyed, I laid in bed and read Darrick's letter several times and listened to some music before I managed probably another hour of sleep and finally gave up and got up at 9:15, which was still pretty splendid compared to my normal 6:45 wake up call.

Got up and showered (only best friends will wrap up in a towel just so that the other person can pee before), and then went to the PX where I bought a thumb drive, so Erin and I can share pictures and music and bought some more notebook paper, so I can write more letters. Whoo hoo. Then we went to the commissary for food and started our laundry.

Chinese food with the girls from work ended up getting cancelled for tonight, so I immediately went down to write Darrick an e-mail and tell him that I would actually be on later. While I waited for Erin to finish up, I played around with some photo editing on the computer and then came home and had waffles for dinner. Went back down for internet and got to talk to the boy for a little bit.

When I got home for the night, Erin helped me rearrange my room (so my bed is not directly in the light that the window can't keep out) and then I painted my nails and watched some How I Met Your Mother. It is no certainly time for bed since it's LONDON tomorrow. Yay!

Things I learned today:
1. Lazy days with your best friend stuck on the smallest base on earth in the middle of nowhere in England can actually prove to be a lot of fun! :)
