Spent the morning in the toddler room and Yana, leaving to do her lesson planning for an hour, left me in the room alone. Trying to do all five diapers by myself without someone else to entertain the kids, I managed to get them all done. However, literally 10 minutes after I finished changing all 5 diapers, all five kids were poopie, so I had to re-do the entire process all over again! SERIOUSLY! Yana came back and was giving me a hard time about being high on poop fumes because we were both really giggly.
Erin then came in and we acted out "The Bear Snores on" book, which made the kids laugh because we're really over-dramatic. We then played dress-up with the kids and then I had to go and give Ashley her break in the preschool room.
At lunch, Erin and I went to check our mail, but the really creepy mail guy forgot out names like two minutes into checking our mail and didn't even look for boxes, so he told us we have nothing there, but I'm not entirely convinced. I'll check back tomorrow. That's for sure. Then went on to internet and e-mailed Darrick before heading back to work for the afternoon.
I spent the majority of the afternoon in the toddler room, but I had to go and give Tasha her hour to do her module work because Yailyn never showed up for their training today. As a result, I bounced back and forth between the toddler room and preschool room. Ending in the toddler room, I was trying to finish up diapers and I had even prepped an entire lesson plan for Yailyn to do while I did diapers, but she didn't understand, so I repeated myself like 4 times before I finally just put the child back on the ground and walked over and grabbed all of the materials and showed her what to do.
We then told by Jan that we aren't allowed to say, "No, thank you" to the kids anymore even though the only reason we do it is because we've heard her say it over and over again. Grrr.. Oh and that we aren't allowed to have music playing anymore unless the kids are dancing to it. Seriously?????
Finally got to talk to Darrick for a few hours tonight, but I had to pee sooooooo freaking bad that is was quite uncomfortable for the last hour. I literally had to hold myself on the walk back and made Erin play a ridiculous game where she had to come up with a word that ended up the last letter of the word I said and going back and forth. It took my mind off of my need to pee long enough to make it to a bathroom, but I was literally thinking of every possible thing I could pee in. We then got home and I had some rice with teriyaki sauce and cereal (nice combo, I know) for dinner and then we watched some How I Met Your Mother.
Things I learned today:
1. The toddler room in the afternoons, despite having two people, is pretty much a one-man show.
2. Not having bathroom facilities for a girl to use while she's sitting outside to get internet to talk to her boy is cruel and unusual punishment.
